The aim of this workshop was to create a platform from which the school staff could continue with the creation of the garden for their school on their own. This means: all teachers and relevant stakeholders of the school should reach the same level of knowledge and also getting high motivation to commit themselves in supporting the project and take the ownership of it.
Result: All 15 teachers including the headmistress “caught fire” to implement THEIR project as part of the curriculum in different subjects and lessons. The participatory approach used by JRS deeply impressed the staff and brought them to the idea to implement an “Environment Club” for students as an extra activity and as an attraction for the school, to be used even in the advertisement to get new students.
Original statement of a participant: “I never experienced such a productive and exciting and motivating workshop before.”
